Game development is entering an unusually fluid period. Code can be drafted in conversation. Images, voices and music can be generated in minutes. Characters can respond with less scripting, prototypes can appear in an afternoon, and small teams can attempt ideas that recently demanded a studio.
That does not mean making games has become easy. It means the constraints are moving—and the most useful questions are changing with them.
A publication for the work behind the hype
GameVibe is an independent publication focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence and game development. We report on new tools and models, document emerging workflows, examine AI-generated games and talk to the people testing the boundaries of the medium.
Our subject is not “AI” in the abstract. It is what happens when a designer, programmer, artist, writer or solo developer puts these systems into a real production loop. Which jobs become faster? Which become stranger? Where does quality improve, and where does the technology merely create more material to review?
Four connected beats
AI Game Development covers the broader shift across design, engineering, art, audio, testing and production. Vibe Coding follows a more specific practice: describing intent to coding agents, iterating on working software and steering by judgement. AI-Generated Games looks at the finished experiences, with the same critical standards applied to any other game. Tools & Models tests the products making these changes possible.
The overlap matters. A model announcement is only interesting when it changes what creators can do. A new workflow matters when it survives contact with a real project. A generated game deserves attention when it produces a worthwhile experience—not simply because of how it was made.
How we work
GameVibe aims to be curious without becoming credulous. We prefer primary sources, direct testing and specific examples. We distinguish reporting from opinion, disclose commercial relationships and correct material errors. When we use AI in our own production, a human editor remains responsible for every published claim and sentence.
This field will not move in a straight line. Some experiments will become ordinary tools; others will collapse under their limitations. GameVibe exists to follow that process closely, help creators make better decisions and discover the games that point somewhere genuinely new.
